Wendy Taylor-Eardley

Wendy is an artist living in North Wales who appreciates and is inspired by the world around her. She paints landscapes or other beautiful subjects in oils in a loose, impressionistic style.

A fan of early symbolist painters and impressionists, she feels that we see visual metaphors and symbols all around us to help us make sense of our situation. Her artworks celebrate beauty, times and places special to us, painted with the intention of providing greater meaning.

Wendy trained in Art, Textiles, Design and Education in Bangor (B Ed Hons) and later went on to train in Graphic Design. Wendy’s earliest artworks were mainly watercolours, inks and pencil work. She also designed cards under the name Wendy House Publishing. Wendy’s knowledge of textiles and design has been used to produce dance costumes and props for theatre and more recently to create textured canvases as a ground for some of her oil paintings.

Fine Artist, teacher and designer, Wendy has lived in Surrey, England for a number of years, and has recently returned to live in Old Colwyn where she grew up.

Confident in speaking Welsh as a second language, Wendy loves the Welsh language and culture and is happy to write and communicate through the medium of Welsh.
