Nick Coldham MA
Nick spent most of his childhood in the Aberdyfi area where he developed his passion for drawing and painting. After a very thorough grounding in Fine Art & Sculpture on a two year foundation course at Chester School of Art he went on to gain a first class BA (Hons) degree from Wolverhampton Polytechnic, followed by a Masters Degree in Design at Manchester Polytechnic.
Between 1983 and 2007 Nick worked in London as a designer, creating a wide range of commercial concepts for the retail and leisure industry including limited-run products, furniture, restaurants, hotels, pubs and shops, culminating in 6 years operating a successful design consultancy.
In 2007 he moved back to North Wales to focus on his art. Initially joining the Aberdyfi Art Society, then the Meirionnydd Artists Society, he was subsequently invited to join CRYD, a professional group of local artists which ultimately led to the creation of ArtWorks. Nick was a founder member of The Dyfi Arts Guild, Machynlleth and is the joint owner of ArtWorks Aberdyfi.
