Andrew Jenkin is an artist, author and illustrator, originally from Yorkshire now living in Rhyl, North Wales. He works mainly in watercolour, depicting British landscapes and illustrating scenes from British folklore.
He appeared on the latest series of BBC1's The Apprentice, teaching the candidates how to paint watercolours so that they could lead an art class in Snowdonia.
In 2012 he was shortlisted for ‘Artist of the Year’ by Artist & Illustrators magazine; in 2016 his work was featured in an article in Welsh Border Life magazine; and he has written articles about watercolour painting for ‘Paint’ magazine.
Three of his paintings have been Highly Commended at Royal Cambrian Academy open exhibitions, and he has exhibited widely throughout North Wales and the North of England.
