Jan Ibbotson

I am a self taught artist living in a rural village on the picturesque banks of the river Dee on the Welsh border.

Growing up on a working dairy farm, and having a father who was an animal artist, deeply influenced my art, instilling in me a love for nature and rustic beauty of rural life. I draw inspiration from my surroundings blending my experience with creativity, using mixed media, pastels, oils.

I enjoy painting plein air and attend agricultural shows with my work, which I thoroughly enjoy, sharing stories with the rural community, and spend many days in the lovely Welsh countryside.
