Paul Holmes

Originally from Staffordshire and now living in Powys, Paul has always had an interest in art and developed a passion for drawing and painting at an early age.

Paul works in a variety of media but mainly soft pastel and oil pastel, though you will also see coloured pencil and pen & ink.

Following his retirement from a profession in financial services, Paul is now able to concentrate on making art and teaching in local workshops together with residential courses at Higham Hall in the Lake District.

Pauls work is mainly inspired by animals and the natural world with an emphasis on detail.

His work is now winning awards and in galleries across England and Wales, with his work in homes in the UK and Europe.
