Bodnant Art Studio Tal y Cafn, Conwy

Exhibiting together for the first time are the three family members behind Bodnant Art Studio.

Paul Pigram
Paul founded Bodnant Art Studio in January 2017. The studio & gallery is based in stunning surroundings at Tal y Cafn, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park.
Paul is a professional artist, and he runs full day and half day pastel painting workshops throughout the year at the studio. He is the author of the best-selling book ‘Beginning Pastel’, which has been translated into several different languages to cater for demand across the globe.
Paul is a Professional Member of The Society for All Artists, an Associate Partner of the Visual Artists Association and an Ambassador for Unison Pastels.
In 2020 Paul founded ART North Wales, a collective of more than forty professional and emerging artists from across North Wales.

Jilly Turl
At art college Jilly studied multi-media, batik, screen printing and calligraphy. This led to her teaching art as a career for more than twenty five years.
Since retiring, Jilly has relocated from Oxfordshire to join her sister, Kate, in North Wales.
She has been re-energised by the stunning surroundings of Snowdonia, which have inspired her to create her latest collection of unique watercolour paintings.<

Kate Pigram
Kate is a new and emerging North Wales artist.
Born and brought up in the North West of England, Kate moved to North Wales in the summer of 2015 with her husband Paul.
Her artistic inspiration comes from the dramatic coastline and spectacular mountain views close to her home in the Conwy Valley.
Kate works with acrylic paint on textured paper. Using expressive brushstrokes, she creates thought provoking images depicting the untamed nature of the elements.
